Getting to Paris

There are several options for arriving into Paris.

By Plane: The most direct way to reach Paris is to fly into Charles De Gaulle Airport, which is northwest of town. The second closest airport, Orly, is south of the city. Both airports have several options for getting to Paris, including frequent busses and trains. Taxis are also available outside of the airports.  For more information, visit the website for either De Gaulle or Orly.

By Train: For those located in Europe, traveling by train may be a more convenient option. You can find more information on transportation here.  The conference venue is near the Saint-Lazare Train Station.

By Metro: The conference venue is a short walk from the Saint –Augustin Metro Station. For information about the visit the website for the Paris Metro.

Where to stay

There are a number of excellent hotel options near the conference venue. Task Force Members and conference speakers will be staying at the Concorde Opera Hotel.  A list of hotels near the Cercle National des Armées can be found here.

What to do

If you arrive early or decide to extend your stay, Paris is one of the world’s most beautiful and interesting cities. See one of Paris’ 3,800 monuments, visit one of Paris’ famous museums and art galleries, or experience Paris’ active night life.
