As the great and good of the accounting world gathered at the Hilton Park Lane on Thursday 21 May, to celebrate their achievements in tax-bill-minimisation, Task Force member Christian Aid thought it would take the opportunity to hand out some trophies of its own.

Multinational corporations are well-versed at finding ways of cutting their tax bills and boosting their profits.

It’s an achievement we don’t want to go unrecognised.

So, fanfare please for Christian Aid’s Alternative Tax Awards 2009.
